Macquarie Life Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Bank Limited, part of the Macquarie Group, a diversified international provider of banking, financial, advisory and investment services, headquartered in Sydney, Australia.

In 2005, they were first to market with an intuitive online underwriting platform, making life risk insurance applications faster and easier. This formed the foundation for the launch of their comprehensive FutureWise life risk product suite in 2006.

In 2008, after only two years in the retail market, they were awarded five star status in the WA Taylor (now Beaton) intermediary industry report on service.

In 2009 and 2010, they retained five star status, becoming the only insurer to hold a five star status for service satisfaction for three years in succession. In 2010 they also ranked first in a number of key areas including ease of doing business, application tracking and product range, innovation and design.

In 2008 Sumo, their unique product for high income clients, was launched, offering sums insured not previously available in the Australian market.

Their latest product offering, Macquarie Life Active, demonstrates their ongoing commitment to product innovation. Macquarie Life Active combines traditional Life, Total and Permanent Disability and Trauma Insurance products into one simple alternative – giving clients a comprehensive, common sense insurance offering that is the first of its kind in Australia.
